Hansard is the substantially verbatim transcript of the proceedings of the Legislative Assembly. Nunavut’s Hansard is produced under the authority of the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly.
The policy of Nunavut’s Hansard editors is to provide a verbatim transcript with a minimum of editing and without any alteration of the meaning of a Member's speech.
The unedited transcripts of Hansard are known as "The Blues" - because they were traditionally printed on blue paper - and are available the following morning after a sitting of the Legislative Assembly. Final, edited Hansards are published in bound volumes and are also available as electronic documents on the Legislative Assembly’s website.
