Hansard
is the substantially verbatim transcript of the proceedings
of the Legislative Assembly. Nunavut’s Hansard is
produced under the authority of the Speaker of the
Legislative Assembly.
The policy of Nunavut’s Hansard editors is to provide a verbatim record with a minimum of editing and without any alteration of the meaning of a Member's speech. The unedited transcripts of Hansard are known as the “Blues.” These are available the following morning after a sitting of the Legislative Assembly. Final, edited Hansards are published in bound volumes and are also available as electronic documents on the Legislative Assembly’s website. Further information on the history of Hansard is available from the Hansard Association of Canada: http://www.hansard.ca. 3rd Assembly Hansard:
