Allan Rumbolt was elected on October 27, 2008, to represent the constituency of Hudson Bay in the 3rd Legislative Assembly of Nunavut. The constituency includes the community of Sanikiluaq. 

Mr. Rumbolt originally moved to the North as an employee of the Northwest Company. In this capacity, he worked in a number of different Nunavut communities. After settling in Sanikiluaq, Mr. Rumbolt held a number of elected offices, including positions on the Municipal Council and the District Education Authority. Prior to being elected to the Legislative Assembly, Mr. Rumbolt was employed by the municipality as a heavy equipment operator. 

Mr. Rumbolt and his spouse Mina are the proud parents of Garry. Mr. Rumbolt is an avid hunter, fisher and outdoorsperson.
